Greetings portlanders -
I just bought a supa' cute craftsman bungalow on NE 35th & Ainsworth, 2 blocks from the New Seasons and a walk or short bike ride to Alberta.
In the hopes of continuing to build and create community I am have a couple of ideas for how my home can be shared and activated as I will be needing some additional support with the mortgage.
The overall vision is that I would be living in the upstairs bedroom and living room would be my office/guest space, etc.
The finished basement is cozy, well lit, freshly painted, clean, with wall to wall new carpeting. There is a private room in the basement and a there is an entrance to the basement in the back of the house which feels like it's own private entrance because there is a door that closes to the upstairs portion of the house. There will be FREE wireless internet! The vibe will be high and filled with lots of creative juice!
Possible rental ideas:
- Finding someone who would be interested in renting the basement room as a daytime working studio space.
..........Healing, massage, office, crafting, therapy, limitless possibilities..... $300/month - negotiable
- Finding the right person to live in the downstairs bedroom while sharing the kitchen and bathroom - $400/month – negotiable
- Using the space as a node within the “under ground condo network”. Meaning that I would be willing to rent out the room by the week to friends/family who need short term space rental for whatever reason...... Advance notice is required since I travel quite often and would need to make arrangements in advance in most cases. Rates negotiable!
If you are interested or know of anyone who might be interested in any of these visionary scenarios....please send them my way.
I can be contacted via email or by phone 415.305.4142
Thank you all for the support! Though i'm sad to leave the Bay, my home for the past 15 years, I'm really excited to be a part of the portland community!!!
With love and blessings,
cara
